New ministers took oath at a function which took place at State House Nakasero in Uganda' capital, Kampala on Tuesday.

The new faces in cabinet include: Frank Tumwebaze, Minister for the Presidency, Richard Todwong Minister without Portfolio in-charge of political mobilisation, Aidha Nantaba, Minister of State for Lands, and Ernest Kiiza, Minister of State for Bunyoro Affairs.

Others are Rosemary Najjemba, Minister of State for Urban Development, Sarah Kataike Ndoboli, Minister of State for Health and Shem Bagaine Minister of State for East African Affairs.

The President over the weekend carried out a mini cabinet reshuffle, switching two ministers from their different portfolios.

Prof. Tarsis Kabwegyere, who had initially been named Minister of Gender and Labour, now takes over the General Duties portfolio currently held by John Nasasira.

Nasasira was shifted to the Gender Ministry.

Kabwegyere was appointed to cabinet last month and his appointment was queried at the appointments committee with some female legislators urging the President to appoint a woman in this docket. He was, however, cleared recently.
