In the finals, East Cardinal P.S of Jinja beat Raphal P.S of Luwero by 5-1 runs in the boy’s baseball while for the girls softball, it was Kitebi P.S that won by beating hosts Factory P.S of Kakira by 6-1 runs in six innings.

The one week’s competition attracted 10 boys’ schools and four girl’s schools at Kakira Sugar Factory.

Mukhobe also called on sponsors to emulate Madhvani that proided the participating schools with accommodation and meals.

“We thank Madhvani for taking interest in the game and facilitating four teams in a short time. We call upon other sponsors to emulate and take Baseball and Softball to the next level because Uganda has a lot of talent,” Mukhobe remarked.

He said Madhvani will soon produce teams to participate in the national league in the near future.

He also said once JICA, a Japanese International Corporation Agency approves a new volunteer coach to Uganda, he will be posted to Kakira Sugar Factory to cater for the Eastern part of the country.
