Jinja's ''shortest man'' wins Bukedde air ticket

Arguably the shortest man in Jinja, a local commercial photographer, Peter Muyanda, has won an air ticket to Dubai courtesy of the Bukedde newspaper

JINJA - Arguably the shortest man in Jinja, a local commercial photographer, Peter Muyanda, has won an air ticket to Dubai courtesy of the Bukedde newspaper.

The diminutive Muyanda, a resident of Jinja town received the news of winning the air ticket after an employee from Bukedde called him and gave him the news.

By the time of the call, Muyanda said, he was at Orient Bank, Jinja branch where he had gone to demand money from a security guard whose photographs he had taken.

Muyanda is arguably the shortest man in Jinja

“I cannot believe it; I thought it was a dream,” the photographer told New Vision.

He said he bears the record of the shortest man in Jinja district and started his photography career in Senior three at Progressive Academy in Kaliro and has been reading Bukedde newspaper since 2000.  

Muyanda said he had never stepped on a plane apart from touching it and taking photographs close at Kimaka airstrip in Jinja.

He added that to enter the draw he had to fill in 12 coupons that have enabled him become a winner.
 
He will travel for the fun trip with 19 others who also won tickets on Tuesday.
