Alamanzan Kyakulaga,13, whose thigh is swollen to the size of an electric pole, is now seeking divine intervention at Pastor Yiga’s Revival Church in Kawaala.

Kyakulaga, who appeared in Saturday Vision recently seeking assistance, had been transferred from his home in Buzibirira, Nabwigulu sub-county in Kamuli district, to Mulago Hospital.

Good Samaritans catered for his transport from home, medical expenses and upkeep.

He underwent several tests and when doctors failed to establish the cause of the ailment, some Christians at Revival Church took him for ‘prayer therapy’.

Unfortunately, his mother, Rose Mukyala Nakidhugu, 34, has abandoned him at the church, saying there were no signs of him recovering, yet she had things to attend to back in the village.

The mother of six went back home last week, leaving Kyakulaga with Annet Kasuubo, their neighbor in Buzibirira, who had come to check on them.

When Saturday Vision visited the church on Sunday, Kyakulaga, who had no mattress, was writhing in pain on a mat on the cold cement, inside the incomplete structure.

“My mother has abandoned me,” the Primary Three dropout said.

Condition pathetic Kyakulaga is still in pain, although the swelling has reduced slightly.

Kasuubo said besides prayers, they give him medicine.
However, some people said it was wrong to remove Kyakulaga from Mulago to Kawaala.

How the problem started Kyakulaga says the problem started in December with an itch from the pelvic girdle to the knee, which later became painful, before the thigh started swelling.

His grandfather, Waiswa Bwamiki, took him to several clinics and later Kamuli Hospital, where he was diagnosed with Rabdomyosarccoma, a bacterial infection that attacks the circulatory system and muscles.

He was referred to Mulago.

To assist him, call 0754818338, 057465308, 0754237474 or visit him at Kawaala.
