Encroachers ignore 'no dumping in wetland' order

The encroachers are doing this in total violation of an order from the Wetlands Management Department.

The signpost at Banda reads: Wetlands are wealthlands: Let them work for you.” It also states, “No encroachment, pollution, drainage and dumping.”

But in total violation of this order from the Wetlands Management Department is dumping of murram in the wetland that has been taking place at night within the last two weeks.
