Escalades haunt Chameleone, Bobi Wine

WHILE Caesar continues to demand his dues, information shows that musicians Jose Chameleone and ghetto president Bobi Wine have started to rue their monster Cadillac Escalades, which served to inflate their already fat egos not so far back.

News from Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) is that the two undervalued their cars, with Jose Chameleone whose car a 2004 model is paying a sum equivalent of a Toyota TX Prado, while Bobi Wine whose Escalade is a 2000 model paid taxes, whose equivalent can only clear a Toyota Ipsum.

Ironically, whereas these cars were undervalued before URA assessment offi cers, the duo went ahead to exaggerate the costs of the vehicles before sections of the press, with Chameleone claiming he bought his car at s200m, while Bobi Wine claimed sh300m.

With the car re-registration due, a source privy to matters at URA claims the duo is unlikely to survive the noose.

That both cars are grounded, may be, just maybe, both could survive.
