Uganda sports scribes under their umbrella USPA, will use sports to fight malaria that has claimed the lives of millions in communities.

USPA general secretary Swalley Kenyi revealed that the complaints about malaria he gets from both USPA members and other sports personalities during interactions inspired the partnership between the sports scribes body with United against Malaria, Uganda.

“Our families are affected too and we have to take the initiative on this noble cause because we have platforms to drive it,” Kenyi stated during the launch of the partnership at Oasis club yesterday.

Kenneth Mulondo the team leader for United against Malaria-Uganda commended USPA for accepting to be part of the drive against malaria.

“We can talk but we may not reach out there to the public. That is why USPA that has a voice becomes a key partner for such a cause where we are targeting vulnerable communities,” Mulondo stated.
