BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN DOMESTIC BIDDING

INVITATION FOR SUPPLY OF SEASONED WOOD POLES UNDER FRAME WORK CONTRACT FOR 2012/2013

Procurement reference number: UEDCL/SUPLS/2011/00136

The Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited has allocated funds to be used for acquisition of Seasoned wood poles under Frame work Contract.

Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic Bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act No1 of 2003 and The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets regulations No 70 of 2003 and is open to all eligible bidders.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 9.00am to 12.00pm and 2.00pm to 5.00pm on working days.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by the interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ug.shs.100,000 or its equivalent in USD. The method of payment will be by depositing money on UEDCL bank account and presentation of a banking slip. Documents will be delivered picked from UEDCL UEDCL-Nakasero Towers, Nakasero Road. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on 13th February 2012 at UEDCL-Lugogo pole treatment plant at 10.00am.

Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 6th March 2012 2.00pm, All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of:

Lot 1-bid security shall be UGX 8,250,000 (Eight million two hundred fifty thousand only)

Lot 2-bid security shall be UGX 8,875,000 (Eight million eight hundred seventy five thousand only)

Lot 3-bid security shall be UGX 12,250,000 (Twelve million two hundred fifty thousand only)

Lot 4-bid security shall be UGX 12,625,000 (Twelve million six hundred twenty five thousand only)

Lot 5-bid security shall be UGX 12,875,000 (Twelve million eight hundred seventy five thousand only)

Lot 6-bid security shall be UGX 6,625,000 (Six million six hundred twenty five thousand only).

Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidder’s representatives who choose to attend at the address below on 6th March 2012 at 2.30pm.
