BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN DOMESTIC BIDDING

Construction of Government Offices in BUHWEJU, BUTALEJA, BUVUMA, NAKAPIRIPIRIT, NAPAK AND RUBIRIZI DISTRICTS OP/WRKS/ 11-12/00007 LOTS 7-12

1. The Offi ce of The President has allocated funds to be used for the acquisition of a Contractor to carry out the construction of Government Offi ces in Buhweju, Butaleja, Buvuma, Nakapiripirit, Napak and Rubirizi Districts. Lot 7,8,9,10,11 and 12 respectively.

2. The Offi ce of The President invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the works described above.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic Bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and are open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from The Offi ce of The President and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 7(a) from 8.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a wri en application to the address below at 7(b) and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of UShs. 200,000/= per lot. The method of payment will be through a URA bank payment advice form. The document will be hand picked by the bidders. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 7(a) on or before February 2, 2012 at 02:00pm. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of UShs. 6,000,000/= per lot in form of a bank guarantee or bank draft. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 7(b) at 02:30 p.m on February 2, 2012. The maximum number of lots the bidder may bid for is two (2).
