They only recently celebrated six years of existence with a cocktail and a mega show.

But word sipping in is that Theatre Factory (TF), a leading comedy outfit in Uganda, is folding.

Snoops say most of the prominent, active and popular actors have left and together are forming their own group, Fun Factory.

The group has already released posters, announcing their first show, slated for mid this month at a car park on Dewinton Road, right adjacent to the home of TF.

We can so far confirm that Hannington Bugingo (pictured right) is the general manager of the new outfit and Richard Tuwangye, the former publicist, is one of the managers.

However, TF administrator, Julius Lugaya, says only Bugingo, has officially communicated his departure from the group. “No one has even brought back their TF IDs.

That means they are still members of TF.” Tuwangye vehemently denied the move had anything to do with disagreements over money.

Pablo Kimuli, who was largely considered the group’s leading light, had quit to start his own show “Pablo Live”. The show is on WBS TV.
