A woman in Nsambya survived being stripped after failing to pay for making a call at a public pay phone.

A woman in Nsambya survived being stripped after failing to pay for making a call at a public pay phone.
Maureen was with her boyfriend when she made a call worth sh10,800 to a destination outside Uganda. However, she had only sh2,000 to pay for the call and attempted to walk away, when the attendant insisted on more money.
The attendant made an alarm that attracted residents who threatened to undress Maureen.
But, her boyfriend pleaded with the crowd to forgive her.
He left her with the attendant and went to look for the money, which he brought half an hour later.
