RAMIRO goes back to the hacienda and learns that Marcelo has been acting suspiciously and that someone saw Carmelo with an old man. Ramiro believes Guadalupe is alive but when he confronts Carmelo and Marcelo, they deny it. Marcelo tells Carmelo that they should get rid of the old man quickly. Antoinette sends Josepha to the city to find Petra. Josepha wants to know if Petra switched the babies at the hospital. Petra tells her that she switched Antoinette’s baby with the farm labourers which means that Carmelo is Antoinette’s son. Josepha collapses at the news and suffers a stroke. Catalina makes a deal with Carmelo to marry him in exchange for the hacienda. She makes one more attempt to see if Sebastian will take her back; she asks him what he would choose given an option, her or the hacienda. He chooses the hacienda. Martina tells Sebastian that he should stop being pig-headed because Catalina still loves him. They meet at a concert and Sebastian pulls Catalina aside to tell her that he wants another chance. That is when Jessica walks up to them and reveals that Catalina is going to marry Carmelo.

ARGEMIRO wants to take Trinidad to the capital to have her eyes checked. Michelle accepts to marry Alirio but warns him she can’t bear children. Simon arrives at The Storm for dinner with Maria Teresa. Santos finds Maria Teresa kissing Simon and the two men fight. Santos beats up Simon until he is unconscious. Maria Teresa tells Nanny that she accomplished what her desire to make Santos jealous. Enrique tells Simon that Santos and Santiago are the same person. Simon tells Enrique that he is going to make a rodeo so that Santiago’s true identity is revealed. Simon challenges Santos to a race and he accepts. Argemiro begs Santos not to compete with Simon, but ignores her. Valentina remembers that she is Santos’ wife. Isabela too learns that Valentina escaped. Maria Teresa burns Isabella and Santos’ clothes. Enrique orders his workers to kill Santos after the race. On his way home, Enrique falls into a well and dies instantly. Isabela locks Maria Teresa in her room and sets it on fire, but Santos saves her. Felipe, Jorge, Manuel and Valentina start the journey to Puerto Bravo.
