Singer Iryn Namubiru and utl’s promotion manager, Eddie Mugurusi, sat at a table in Silk Oxygen that is usually reserved for customers who buy at least a bottle of wine. Although Eddie and a colleague drank Club beer, Iryn was not drinking anything.
A mean-looking bouncer accosted them and, from what we saw, seemingly spelt out the rules to them. He then retreated to his position and observed what was going on. After a few minutes, Eddie left the table and went to Silk Lounge. Iryn, however, remained put.
A few minutes later, the no-nonsense bouncer confronted the Boona Obasinga singer and told her to either buy wine or quit the table. A visibly irked Iryn chose the latter.
She stormed out of the club immediately after her performance on stage. So, what was the problem Iryn, couldn’t you afford a glass of wine or where you just not in the mood? Hmmm
