TURKISH Academy’s best Shafic Ssemuyaga wants to fight corruption by pursuing a course in auditing.

The 20-year-old, who scored 3AAB in mathematics, economics and geography, hopes to join Makerere University.

“For all the years I have been at school, I have been reading about corruption in news papers. I feel I need to fight this evil,” Ssemuyaga said.

“I come from a humble home in Namasuba. My mother is a housewife and my dad works with Water Aid, an NGO. I am happy that university fees will not bother my parents,” he added with a smile.
