PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has hailed the administrators of St. Anne Goli Primary School in Mpigi district for embracing Government development programmes to fight poverty.

The President’s message was delivered by private ,secretary Amelia Kyambadde, recently during the handover of several items at Nsumba Orphanage in Kamengo sub-county, Mpigi district.

The items included 10,000 roofing tiles, 150 iron sheets, 50 bags of cement, 100 mattresses and two water tanks ,which Museveni had pledged as support to establish Nsumba Orphanage Centre.

Kyambadde said the President was impressed by the institution when it pioneered the campaign to improve household income through participating in the Prosperity For All programme.

“I am here to deliver what President Museveni promised you. It is his hope that the donation will help the pupils and the community at large,” she said.

Rev. Pascoe Mugerwa, who received the materials, commended Kyambadde for following up on the pledge.
He promised that the church would use the donation to benefit the pupils and the entire community.

Last month, President Museveni, while touring the area, pledged to support the institution.
