THE Police last week impounded over 200 motorcycles and vehicles. The district Police commander, Joseph Engwedu, said the operation was prompted by the increased cases of road carnage.
THE Police last week impounded over 200 motorcycles and vehicles. The district Police commander, Joseph Engwedu, said the operation was prompted by the increased cases of road carnage.
He said they targeted motorists without driving permits, motorcycle riders without safety helmets, vehicles in dangerous mechanical conditions and those which were over-loaded.
Engwedu said the exercise would continue until all motorists complied with the road requirements.
