RODNEY Bamusede beat his nearest contender, Shedrack Musinguzi, by 51 votes to become the guild president of the Uganda Christian University, Mukono for the year 2010/2011.
RODNEY Bamusede beat his nearest contender, Shedrack Musinguzi, by 51 votes to become the guild president of the Uganda Christian University, Mukono for the year 2010/2011.
The 21-year-old law student is the youngest guild president in the history of universities in Uganda.
Bamusede had 1,145 votes compared to 1,094 obtained by Musinguzi and 212 by Alex Omweru.
Speaking to The New Vision after the results were announced on Saturday, Bamusedde promised to serve the students diligently and unite them regardless of tribe.
He called on them to cooperate with him in order to address their challenges.
