FORMER IBF junior middleweight champion Kassim “The Dream” Ouma has become a free agent after ending his contracts with his promoter and manager.

“I am free agent since I ended my contract with Golden Boy promotions and my co-promoters Peltz Boxing promotions,” Ouma said in a statement from his base in the United States.

“I manage and promote myself, but I am looking for a promoter and manager at the same time.”

The Ugandan fighter has been promoted by Oscar De La Hoya since 2004.

The relationship saw Ouma win the IBF world title following a unanimous points decision over veteran fighter Verno Phillips, but lost his belt to Russian Roman “Made in Hell” Karmazin later.
