Keep spring wells clean
There are times when water taps run dry. Until such a time, nobody thinks about spring wells, which used to be the major source of water before piped water was introduced. Today, since most areas have piped water, many spring wells have been forgotten. I ask local leaders to always take care of these wells since they are a good substitute for piped water. In Kisaasi, we have three spring wells — in Kisota, Dungu zone and behind Universal Girls School. Local leaders should set up particular days to clean them.

Watch out for these conmen
A few weeks ago, two men, dressed in Umeme uniforms entered my gate and identified themselves as Umeme employees, who had come to check on our meter. My housemaid allowed them into the house and they stole the main fuse, cut-out and several other expensive power switches. As it turned out, these were thieves masquerading as Umeme employees. They also stole from several houses in the area. Umeme should give us a way of identifying their workers, otherwise, we shall keep chasing them away.
