UGANDA intend to overwhelm Kenya with a team of 50 riders in the Fresh Cuts FIM Central Africa Motor Cross Challenge at Shell Garuga Race track on Sunday.

Uganda’s captain Arthur Blick yesterday released a list of 50 riders that will compete in the MX1, MX2, 85 cc, 65cc and 50cc classes of the two leg international competition.

The Kenyans expected in the country tomorrow named a team of 24 riders.
The 50cc category that normally features riders below 10 years has 14 children.

“We learnt from our experience in Nairobi last. They unleashed 60 riders when we had only 15. There’s no limit, so we have to take full advantage as the hosts,” Blick said.

Last year, Uganda did not make good use of the home advantage and fielded only 30 riders.

Team Uganda will field 20 riders in the MX class including Asaf Natan (Honda 450cc) and Barack Orland (Kawasaki 450cc) with powerful 2010 model motorcycles.

Fresh Cuts are the major sponsors for the race. UAP Insurance, Mountain Dew, International Air Ambulance (IAA), Fire and Safety Appliances, Saracen and Fotogenix and Shell Uganda are the event’s co-sponsors.
