Kisekka guides URA past former bosses

IF SC Villa were not certain of Henry Kisekka’s finishing prowess, now they are. The 26-year-old, who left the blues two seasons ago as a reject, struck twice to preserve URA’s title prospects as URA edged Villa at Namboole yesterday.

IF SC Villa were not certain of Henry Kisekka’s finishing prowess, now they are. The 26-year-old, who left the blues two seasons ago as a reject, struck twice to preserve URA’s title prospects as URA edged Villa at Namboole yesterday.
URA indeed posses a string of talented footballers, but if their title hopes are to crystallise, it will be vital that Kisekka maintains his form.
The burly striker rudely awakened his former club with one of the fastest league goals.
Kisekka struck 34 seconds into the match off a well threaded Augustine Nsumba pass in an encounter that ended in chaos.
Villa supporters angrily broke seats hurling them at their bench demanding for the resignation of coach Sula Kato.
Villa had clawed its way back in the first half to level the score through an opportunistic Dan Walusimbi goal on 30 minutes.
Walusimbi cashed in on Jimmy Mukubya and goalkeeper Mulindwa Muwonge’s indecisiveness to fire in.
The goal revived the 16-time champions who then outclassed URA in midfield with Moses Feni as the maestro. Feni’s industry was rewarded with a 36 minute lead after a build-up with Oscar Agaba and Walusimbi.
On resumption URA tactician Alex Isabirye sent out his charges with an ultimatum of proving their championship pedigree. They indeed did just that. Nsumba got a 58th minute
equaliser before Kisekka again eluded Villa’s defence to direct in Patrick Senfuka’s right win cross.
In Masindi, Hoima’s spell of bad form continued with a loss to fellow Bunyoro side Kinyara. Hesbon Mundia struck the winner.
At Kakindu Isaac Isinde gave Victors a second minute lead. Victors cracked with 17 minutes left when Fred Muhumuza was red carded for a hand ball in the box.
Ronald Lukungu scored from the resultant penalty.
