THE power of sports as a uniting factor will see singer Jose Chameleon and Bobi Wine share the stage as they entertain fans at the War Victims Day football match at Namboole, Sunday.

UN secretary general, Ban Ki-Moon is expected to play with Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni in a game organised as one of the events to mark the War Victims Day.

Other participants will be victims of war crimes, the president of the Assembly of States and the national soccer team (Cranes) players. Delegates to the International Criminal Court review conference that starts on Monday will also attend.

Other musicians to entertain fans will be Ragga Dee and Peter Miles.

The event is organised by the Uganda Victims Foundation and the African Youth Initiative Network with support from No Peace Without Justice.

“We expect more dignitaries and ministers to take part in the match. It is a match for peace. It will help the decision makers and victims share experience as they interact,” John Labeja the foundation chairman said.

Entry to the match is free.
