Uganda got a feel of the new technology with its first ever outdoor football match under solar-powered flood lighting on Wednesday.
The match featuring Kabojja Primary School students was staged at Protea Hotel.
The match was part of an exhibition by Royal Phillips Electronics to show its varying LED solar powered products.
League matches in the Ugandan Super League have not been held for a long while due to ever-increasing electricity costs.
