Why fake signposts?

EDITOR—I request the Inspector General of Police, Maj Gen Kale Kayihura, to buy signposts labelled “Police Checkpoint”.

This is because everywhere on highways we keep seeing improvised signposts reading “Accident Ahead”! There are people who have lost their beloved ones and get stressed on seeing such signposts.
