OVER 40 schools will this weekend converge at King’s College Budo for the National Table Tennis Championship
Among the entries are Mbale powerhouses Manafwa High, Mbale Progressive and Nabumali High School, local governing body UTTA organising secretary Paul Mutambuze confirmed yesterday.

Action starts at mid day tomorrow with the cadets’ category. The seniors will thereafter take centre stage of the event.

Budo boasts of a rich table tennis history and was recently boosted with nine modern tables from some of its former students.

Meanwhile UTTA has been boosted with the upgrading of three of its umpires to international status.

Wilberforce Kayongo, Monica Kisakye and Mutambuze recently passed exams to acquire the ITTF badges.
