Taking a taxi in Kampala is a nightmare

EDITOR—If you have your own car you re very lucky. This is because travelling in taxi in Kampala is a nightmare. I don’t remember a day I ever left home without knowing where I was going.

However, whenever I get to the stage I find this fellow standing there ready to decide for me which taxi I must board!
Sometimes these people will close the door just as you are entering the taxi! This wastes a lot of time and all the while there is a lot of noise all around.
One time a tout nearly broke my arm with the door! What is the work of UTODA? Why do they just sit back and watch?
