Govt to build Obote official’s family house

President Yoweri Museveni has directed that the Government builds a house for the family of the late Abdallah Anyuru, the former chairman of the Public Service Commission in Milton Obote’s regime.

President Yoweri Museveni has directed that the Government builds a house for the family of the late Abdallah Anyuru, the former chairman of the Public Service Commission in Milton Obote’s regime.

According to the caretaker of the family, Johnson Ayo, the President has already given sh10m to enable one of the widows, Sophia Anyuru, complete her house in Aber trading centre in Oyam district.

Ayo said a team of builders inspected the site of the main house whose construction is expected to cost over sh50m. Addressing a rally at Loro Secondary School recently, Museveni pledged to support the families of the former army chief of staff, the late Maj. Gen. David Oyite Ojok, and Abdallah Anyuru.

The president described the two as patriots.He pledged to construct a secondary school in memory of Abdallah Anyuru, whom he said recruited him in the office of the President in 1970.
