The Police in Kibaale have arrested an 18-year-old man over defiling a three-year-old child. Ben Watson Abura, the officer in charge of Kagadi Police Station, identified the suspect as Moses Barushimana, a resident of Katikengeye village in Bwikara sub-county in Kibaale district.

Abura said a medical examination showed that the victim’s private parts were ruptured. The father said when he returned from the garden, he found his child crying as blood oozed from her private parts.

“It is not safe to entrust your children with people whose integrity and habits you are not sure of. The public should be more conscious,” Abura said.

In another incident, the Police are holding a 30-year-old woman over killing her three-month-old baby. Abura identified the suspect as Kellen Tibibise, a resident of Kisenyi village, Kyenzige sub-county in Kibaale district.

She allegedly committed the offence under the influence of alcohol.
