PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has donated a Mitsubishi car to the Karamoja Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Joseph Abura, to help him carry out his work.

The donation follows recent meetings the President had with stakeholders on issues relevant to the pacification of Karamoja at Morulinga state lodge in Moroto district.

The Moroto resident district commissioner, Nahaman Ojwe, who represented Museveni, said on Sunday during a ceremony to bless the car that it will help expand pastoral programmes in Karamoja.

The function was held at St. Phillips Cathedral in Moroto municipality. Abura thanked the Government for the support to the Karimojong.

“Though we are facing challenges in Karamoja the church is stable,” he observed.

Abura said the Christians in Karamoja were determined to have Karamoja pacified so that communities can develop.
