Unfortunately, the responsible officials fear to either catch or kill the lion. It is becoming hard for local conservationists to educate the community on conserving the forests to bring back the corridor when a stray lion can terrorise the communities with relevant organs giving a blind eye.

Does it take a month for the Uganda Wildlife Authority and the Government to catch a lion?

Why should the lion be left to feast on people's livestock, terrorise them and confine everyone indoor? Kibaale District is always unfortunate. Once taken by colonialists, it is now ruled by absentee landlords, is vulnerable to tribal clashes, forests destruction, poor roads and education!

I pray that we are rescued otherwise the attitude of UWA and the Government is enough to discourage our efforts in conserving forests.
