Gulu to host Women’s Day

KAMPALA — International Women’s day celebrations on March 8 are slated to be held in Gulu. The theme for this year is “Act now. Say no to violence against women.” According to Maggie Kyomukama, an official from the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, the theme is a continuation of last year’s “Break the Silence.” “We have already broken the silence and now let’s take another step,” she said.
