AS a way of showing their passion for federalism, its lovers especially Baganda have been advised not to shave in order to show their dissatisfaction to those in power.
This was the advice of an unidentified man at the CBS FM weekly talk show Mambo Bado at Bulange Mengo on February 01: “Fellow Baganda who want Federo so much, lets grow our beards to a reasonable length as one way of showing those in political power that we are not happy at all without our federo system and 9,000 square miles,” he said to the applause from the audience.
He added as people cheered, “This will show the political power holders that we are serious over the matter. I want others to identify us in that way as they would grow as longer as to the size of that of Osama Bin Laden’s beard or more,”
Popular self-styled journalist Tamale Mirundi said that President Museveni should think about Federal immediately because Uganda is highly bargained politically by many people.
“Its upon him (M7) to think about what to do about the issue, if he is reluctant, this Uganda is like a property for sell in the market place, its bargained by many people every day including him, rebels and the diplomatic opposition. So it will be a very small group that may possibly bring it to take a win yet Museveni has done a lot for Baganda,” he said. Ends
