THE United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has donated motorcycles and bicycles worth over sh46m to Mbarara district, reports Ebenezer Bifubyeka.
Augustine Atwijukye, the district assistant chief administrative officer, said seven motorcycles and 474 bicycles were recently distributed to officers registering children births and deaths in seven sub-counties. Atwijukye, who is also the UNICEF coordinator for Mbarara district, said that the beneficiary sub-counties are Kikatsi, Ngarama, Nyakishashara,
Rubindi, Nyakitunda, Kikagati and Kenshumba. Ends
