UGANDA Peoples Congress (UPC) is organising a meeting for party members to map out a strategy to field a sole candidate for the position of the LC5 chairman.
The post fell vacant when the former chairman, Charles Odwe Arago, died in January.
In a meeting of the UPC Adhoc committee chaired by lango UPC chairman, the Rev. Yokoyadi Opolo, at Obuto Welo in Ojwina Lira Municipality, the task force members resolved to support the acting LC5 chairman, Franco Ojur, in the bye- election.
Opolo said the person to succeed the late Odwe must come from UPC to strengthen the party in the district.Ends
