PATIENTS in Jinja Hospital children’s ward on Wednesday had something to smile about.
Jonathan Angura reports that they received milk, soda and mineral water from Jinja Nile Resort Hotel, whose staff also mopped and swept the ward and mowed the compound.
They also donated and fixed bulbs in places where they were not.
The charity work, supervised by the hotel general manager, Tom Abuto and the accountant, Pant Rakesh, was part of the events to mark the hotel’s third anniversary.
“I thank you for thinking about us and identifying yourselves with our problems,†Dr. Peter Mujabi, the in-charge of the ward, said.
“We want to be associated with the community. We are not interested in making profits only,†Abuto said.
