THE stage is set for this year’s Tusker Safari Sevens in Nairobi with Uganda listed as among 16 countries that will feature in the annual showcase. Organisers said on Tuesday elaborate security for teams participating had been put in place in view of terrorist threats in the country. Kenya will field the national team and Ulinzi club.

Handball: SAA boost
SOUTH Africa Airlines (SAA) in conjunction with Air Tanzania (AT) have joined the promotion of sports in the country by offering three air tickets worth $1740 (sh3.5m) to Uganda Amateur Handball Federation (UAHF) to attend a seminar in Dar es salam.

UGANDA schools Table Tennis Association general secretary Emmanuel Matsyetsye is seeking to replace his chairman Simon Obona Peter at the over due elections of new executive in two weeks at National council of Sports offices in Lugogo. Obona has led the association since inception in 1997.
