Kibuli Senior Secondary School took full ownership of a bus from dfcu Leasing yesterday. The 69-seater bus is under the firm’s ‘Vehicle Leasing Scheme’ for schools.
David Smith, the dfcu Group managing director, said dfcu is now putting more emphasis on social projects with a long-term economic benefit to the community.
Kibuli made six termly payments after paying a lumpsum. “Now the bus fully belongs to the school, as they no longer have any leasing liabilities with us,†Smith said.
Receiving the keys, Kibuli SSS board chairman, Moses Kiwe Sebunya, said the Isuzu MV118, cost them about $75,165 after taxes.
About 30 schools have benefited from the vehicle leasing scheme.
