SIR— Following the exposure of Patrick Musisi, a robber and thug on UTV for impersonating security operatives, I wish to alert the public about the existence of many such conmen.

Most of them claim they are attached to the chieftaincy of military intelligence (CMI) and then fleece people of their money or even rob them of property. I came to know Musisi in February when he robbed a Korean of sh50,000. Some time later, he got sh3m from one Matovu, claiming that he had been sent by CMI.

Then there is one Atwib Musoke, alias Waswa Ali, who had a forged CMI identity card, claiming that he was an intelligence officer from First Division, Kakiri.

These impersonators do not only call themselves security agents but also give themselves ranks such as colonel, major, captain, lieutenant, to mention the most used.

There was a time one Abdu Kiyimba of Ndeeba in southern Kampala called himself a major from CMI with an attempt to recover a motor vehicle from one Umar Katende on behalf of DFCU bank. The public is warned to beware of such people.
