SIR— We the customers in Iganga town thank the management of the Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) for the good work they are providing the community in the area.

SIR— We the customers in Iganga town thank the management of the Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) for the good work they are providing the community in the area.

This was reflected on July 3, when the management organised a sensitisation seminar to educate customers on how to consume power economically. This has helped us a lot in reducing the cost of electricity bills.

However, those customers who pay promptly are disappointed by the way the cashier treats people who come to pay their bills.

Why does she shout and answer customers rudely, especially after mid-day?

We request the management
to ease the mode of payment
in order to save time. Because of the treatment we have received from the cashier, most customers have ended up being disconnected.
We look forward to UEDCL’s quick response in rectifying
the situation.
