NATIONAL Water and Sewerage Corporation (NW&SC) is extending it’s services to rural areas.

“We are taking water to the poor communities, the peri-urban areas. This will fulfill our social mission thereby making NW&SC truly national,” William Muhairwe, (right) the NW&SC managing director said.

Muhairwe said this on Saturday at the launch of a water extension programme in Fort Portal town in Kabarole district.

State minister for water Maria Mutagamba launched the programme.

Mutagamba also toured the newly installed water supply facilities.

The programme gives Mukwano’s tea factory at Kabundayire, the Buzirasagama estates and people in the area access to safe water.
