Fireworks crown end of KKL league

THE tenth soccer season of the Stanbic Bank Kampala kids league (KKL) came to a colourful end with fireworks lighting up the skyline on the final day at Kabira Country Club on Saturday.

THE tenth soccer season of the Stanbic Bank Kampala kids league (KKL) came to a colourful end with fireworks lighting up the skyline on the final day at Kabira Country Club on Saturday.

MTN crowned the season by winning the junior league on the final day, nipping closest challengers Radio Simba 1-0.

Citibank walked away as the mid-morning champions after finishing the season top.
Milo won the mid afternoon league in style beating Motorcare 5-0 with Mercy Wasswa scoring a hat-trick to finish joint top scorer with his closest mate Sharif Lule of Safi.
Safi also banged in three goals as his side brushed off Eagle Air to finish second in this league.

British Airways wrapped the senior morning league a week ago. Tomil Fireworks making their debut in the KKL season won the senior afternoon league beating New Vision 5-1.
British Bulls needed a 3-0 score to win the super seniors title while Timeout needed any kind of draw to win the league, but crushed on the final day in dramatic fashion losing 5-0 to the Bulls.

In all 540 boys and girls from 20 schools and orphanages participated in the league that has been running for a month.
