Gulu Municipality MP Norbert Mao has said HIV/AIDS prevalence among mothers in Gulu was high. Mao attributed this to the high rate of rape due to the insecurity in the area.
He was speaking at a graduation party at the Kibuli Police Training School in Kampala.

GULU district Khadi Sheik Musa Khelil has urged Muslims to join hands with peace-keeping groups and stakeholders in the search for an everlasting peace in Acholi.
Khelil said this on Tuesday during the Idd El Fitri prayers at Gulu Public Primary School.
