THE LC5 chairmen of West Nile has called upon the Government to construct Nyagak dam to realise socio-economic development in the sub-region, reports Frank Mugabi.
The resolution was made at a sensitisation workshop on Energy for Rural Transformation (ERT) programme in Nebbi.
The World Bank-funded 10-year ERT programme aims at improving rural electrification from the present 1% coverage to 10% by 2012.
The region comprises Adjumani, Arua, Moyo, Nebbi and Yumbe districts.
