The Netherlands Development Organi-sation (SNV) team leader, Philemon Nganda, has said poverty should be fought from all fronts right from the homestead.

Nganda said, “Fighting poverty needs collective efforts and the people should be equiped with the facilities to fight it.”

He was speaking to western district leaders during a poverty eradication workshop at Margharita Hotel in Kasese recently.

The workshop discussed water development projects in the region as one of the ways to fight poverty.

Okun said the plan involves the sustainability of the already built water facilities.

He advised the leaders to comeup with ways of maenance and monitoring the facility systems.

The leaders were from the districts of Kabarole, Kyenjojo, Bundibugyo, Kibale, Kasese and Kamwenge.
