“I have always been the best in class and I expected to excel in PLE,” 13-year-old Faith Ogutu said.

Ogutu, a pupil of Buckley High School in Iganga district, scored aggregate 5. She was the best in the district.

Ogutu said: “I was not so happy because I missed aggregate 4 which I had been working for. I scored aggregate 4 in the mock examinations and I expected to maintain it, but Social Studies let me down.”

Ogutu, who wants to become a surgeon, attributed her success to her teacher of English Sarah Naisumba.

Ogutu wants to be like her father James Ofwono Ogutu, who is a health training officer in the health ministry.
