Prof. Venasius Baryamureeba, the Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, spearheaded the creation of an ICT centre to develop local computer software. The centre that will carry out ICT research and development and also train ICT experts will connect over 100 universities in 13 African countries with India in e-education. The centre works with ICT giants like Google, Microsoft, IBM, HP and CISCO.
