Fiona’s Pregnancy Diary

I love the favours that come with pregnancy
TALKING to a friend this week, I realised that I had not been that keen to notice when the baby kicks most as I had promised myself from the time I was told it was vital to take note of each kick and the timing.

From then, I started to look out for what makes the baby move most. To my amazement, I have noticed that the baby kicks when my husband laughs. So the baby knows its dad’s voice.

With my due date getting closer I need more and more help with different tasks. It is getting harder to bend so my husband or whoever is around usually helps out. I am getting good at giving instructions and it can be fun sometimes asking people to help me out of a chair.

I have also discovered that my husband’s cooking skills go beyond making tea.

I have given up trousers for dresses and skirts. This is because they are more comfortable. Shopping for the baby with my sister is in high gear. She knows where to get baby clothes at the best prices.

We are also planning to take a few studio photos while I’m still pregnant. I think those will be nice snaps for the baby’s album.

I am enjoying the favours of being heavy. The other day at the bank, while waiting, there was only one seat and it was occupied. Looking at me, the occupant of the seat left it for me.

I also don’t go through metal detectors anymore, most people try to make sure I’m comfortable and give me almost any food I ask for and my husband always carries my handbag!
