I work near Barclays Bank on Entebbe Road, but I am disappointed with the lapse in security in Kampala. Right from Luwum Street to Entebbe Road, there are thieves who move in groups of 10 and above, grabbing jewellery, money, mobile phones, etc, from people.

After stealing, they run together and anybody who dares to intercept them is thoroughly beaten. Surprisingly, the Police and other security agents, who happen to be nearby guarding other premises, just look on. I appeal to the city authorities to step up security to save Ugandans.
