MOES, UOC meetings good EDITOR - It was good to hear that the Education and Sports ministry and Uganda Olympic Committee held a cordial meeting. That the session had an IOC official in attendance, was even better news. There have previously been more clashes than meetings between the two bodies. And, it’s always been the sportsmen who have been victims of these battles thus our ever falling sports standards. It’s very refreshing to note that new Ugandan Olympic Committee boss Roger Ddungu is ready to work with government organs. With such teamwork and also dynamism in the sports federations, success will be possible. But most importantly, I commend Ddungu for the new spirit. Keep it up. Andrew Kipsig KAPCHORWA Bakka too vocal EDITOR - Sports state minister Charles Bakkabulindi is interestingly the most vocal person on the on-going Nakivubo stadium controversy. I would expect the stadium’s management to be at centre stage. It’s this committee that is mandated to run the stadium. What is in this Allied Bus Owners parking deal that can make the minister stick in Nakivubo. Alice Acen KAMPALA
