Snatching Eggs: Divide children into two groups; each team with four eggs. Place eggs on the ground in a row and have children run to the other team’s side to try to take their eggs without getting touched. If they do get touched, they have to wait for one of their teammates to rescue them by touching their shoulder.

Bunny Tag: One child is ‘it’. The other children must hop like bunnies while avoiding being tagged, or else they become ‘it’.

Easter Egg Hunt: Around the world Easter is celebrated by decorating hard-boiled eggs to symbolise springtime and the redemption of humanity. In your family’s compound, hide hard-boiled eggs or plastic eggs in different spots. A child who collects the most eggs can win a prize such as coins or a ball.

Pairs: Children pair-up and face each other at a starting line, each pair is given one egg. Every time an adult blows a whistle, each person steps backwards and then passes the egg to their partner. Repeat until someone drops the eggs, the pair is then eliminated from the game.

Balance: Have children put an egg on a spoon and walk across an area. If the egg is dropped, the child has to start over. If working in partners, have children pass the eggs to each other using the spoon.
